Hey everyone, I know im still on the newbies forum so i figured i'd knock out some of these posts with little things i've learned so far about my 8.
The button on the lid for the center console lid (front cup holder cover) was poking out at angle. mine ended up being a little broken arm on the actual button. I just used some plastic model glue to reattach it and re assemble the whole thing. Be careful when you try this because the back part of the button rides inside a recess in the lock assembly. if you get glue in there or spilling out over the sides it will seize and the fix will be in vein. i just gluedit and sanded the excess glue down.
Notes: As i started to disassemble i noticed that the previous owner had attempted to fix it and lost the screws that hold the pad to the sliding part of the lid
so if youre wondering, those are a 3mm pan head machine screw i got some with a 5mm long tread and they work perfectly (any parts or hardware store should have them just get the metrics haha).
