Clockspring Connector

so recently was thinking of buying an aftermarket wheel. to save me some time i had a day off and decided to get familiar with taking the wheel so i new exactly what to do when the time comes. As i was taking the airbag connectors out i accidentally BROKE one of the little black clips that keep the airbag connectors on. i didn't think is was a huge issue at the time but now my airbag light is on flashing once then nine times. this may be a noob question but is that the cause of the light? maybe because of a poor connection?

the black connectors im talking about are on the end of the airbag connectors. thx

If it doesn't stay connected that will cause issues. you could always use a small zip tie to hold it together if it falls apart easily when you put it back together.
