Compression Test Results

I just did a compression test on '03 mt

The results are :
100 / 85 / 101 @265rpm for rotor 1
90 / 91 / 90 @225rpm for rotor 2

The car just had a rebuild like 1000km ago.

I read the charts and it's not too good, Im running on 2kw starter, new BHR coils and new plugs, battery is not new though (if it affects the results). Any idea or solutions?

The battery affects it indirectly. This is why compression numbers are corrected by RPM. The compression itself is borderline. What would concern me the most is the sudden drop in pressure rotor1 has on one face.

Yes, there's a side seal that's "locked", that's what the workshop says, he'll try to decarb the engine, unless i want to re-rebuild again, which clearly i dont think i can afford atm.

Im wondering is it normal to have such compression test results after a very recent rebuild (will it get better?), or did the guy who did my rebuild screw me up?

There's one in south jakarta, but i dont recommend it at all. ( I did my rebuild there, the process took 2 years. sort of.)

There's another one at Yogyakarta, a workshop that specializes in rotary engines. (now my 8 is being towed there)

U from indonesia too?

Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, yes.

there was a time, long ago. where rx8 is everywhere in Indonesia. but now, it's quite rare.

It's a very tropical country thus the very humid and hot weather(all year) and with the bumper to bumper traffic everyday nearly everytime(even in expressways), those 2 combos makes our city the worse to drive a rotary.

Alot of them overheated and disappeared.

The engine only has 600 miles on it, put on another 2,000 km and check the compression again. The seals may be just working themselves in.
