FL Concerned about hard starts, rough idle, surge/dip in power or wierd elec issues?

Basic but that is why it is being posted in the newbie section.

A cheap, less than $10, start to try first is to replace the stock battery cable connectors that have minimal contact areas with the battery posts with new marine lead connectors.

Every auto parts store I have ever looked for them in has them.

It takes less than 10 minutes to replace.

1. Disconnect the negative cable, remove old connector, place it away from battery for safety.

2. Disconnect the positive cable, remove old connector, replace with new marine connector, reconnect it to the batteries positive post.

3. Place the new connector on the negative cable and reconnect to the negative terminal of the battery.

By no means am I saying this is a cure all but for $10 and 10 minutes it is a simple way to start when trying to trouble shoot any intermittent power or electrical issue.

You can't go wrong improving your batteries ground connection. Try it.
