Coolant boiling...how does it look like?

If your coolant were actually boiling it would escape through the overflow tube.
The cap is a relief valve set to ~13 psi. If the coolant actually boils, it will overpressure the system and the cap will relieve the pressure and you'll get coolant spewing out that tube.
If that isn't happening then you're fine. The appearance of the air separator tank is meaningless.
