Coolant coming from the exhaust

Hey guys,
Had an engine rebuilt 1000 kms ago and as I was driving home 2 nights ago I started to see white smoke come out near the right headlight and then shortly after a coolant smell. I started the car today morning (struggled for a bit) and the exhaust started spitting coolant. Now what my question is, the coolant being in there for 2 nights, would it cause any serious issues and would I be able to chase it up with the guy that rebuilt it? Strongly believe it was a faulty coolant seal and I need to be compensated for ALL the damage as there's no way the seal would go in less than 1000 kms.
I have searched this forum and stumbled upon posts stating that the engine needs a rebuild, however after the coolant has been sitting in the engine for a month or two. In my case, it is 2 days max as I will be towing the car tomorrow to get it looked at. What are your thoughts?
