What would the various reasons for not having a Tstat be? You can't run without a thermostat. Put it back in.

You could have a host of issues but I would suggest trying to trouble shoot the problem properly or have someone with experience do it for you.

Running with no thermostat means that your coolant is not spending enough time in the radiator and as a result the engine will overheat (this isn't a 50 year old Chevy small block). Whether that is your only problem or not remains to be seen.

Why do you have two threads about cooling issues and then another thread where you state the original owner already told you that it was leaking coolant internally and the engine was shot?
