detailed hesitation issue
Hey Guys n Girls
My 8 has been recently having issues in the high rev range.
For the last few weeks it has intermittently been hitting a brick wall at anything between 6500 - 7000RPM
Yesterday I done an oil change and new air filter. This week I plan on ordering the BHR upgraded ignition coils as
I think the coils may be the issue.
Now to the more detailed part... after doing the air filter yesterday i thought id open her up on my way to work this
morning and to my surprise it actually done it (intermittent issues never happen when you want them too).
What I found was that from a rolling start if I drop the go peddle straight to the floor it hits its mark and
just hangs, BUT... if i back of a bit and feather the peddle a bit or feather it all the way up it will hit the beeper no worries.
Without any load while parked it snaps limiter in about 1/4 of a second.
I should also mention that my 8 has had a P0076 (SSV Solenoid Circuit Low on 1) code since the day i got it. I do plan on fixing it but I don't think this would be the cause as this issue has only started happening a few weeks ago.
Also another question for those who have used the BHR ignition kit.... does it use LS2 coils, iv been reading up and contemplating giving the LS2 coil conversion a go but something I read somewhere gave me a suspicion that the BHR kit is exactly that.
Any thoughts, advice or confirmation that I'm on the right track would be greatly appreciated.
