Hello all,

I have a rx8 2004 6spd manual, it has front end damage, both air bags deployed, now it wont even crank over the engine. Please note that all the fluids and battery are good. scan the car no codes, checked all fuses non are blown, clutch pedal switch good, checked stater via remote switch to battery to starter (starter works).
My question is do I need to replace both air bags and impact or SRS sensors for the engine to crank of start?

Check the service manual on this site. I'm sure that the car should be able to run if all normal systems have not failed - after all you should be able to drive home if you had a 10 mph light fender bender.

Thanks for the info. I just want to say I got the rx8 up and running. So I can say that if your rx8 deploys the front airbags or any of them as long as the rx8 is clear of dtc's and the rest of the car is in working condition. The answer is "YES" an rx8 will crank and start up your car even though your airbags deployed.
