TX Dim Headlights

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum. I own an 07 rx8 and I have trouble with the low beams. When I bought the car, the bulbs were dim, so I thought replacing the bulb would do the job but it did not. I bought Sylvania zxe H7 to replace and it is still dim. Does anyone know the reason why the bulbs are dim. I have to turn on my high beams to drive at night.

Thanks

Are the housings themselves cloudy? That could cause problems.

Check the headlight grounds. It is a common headlight failure for the grounds to corrode and then you get decrease current flow and less light output

I had this same problem when I bought my 07 rx8 and mine was just cloudy because of the humidity and so I went out and bought this stuff to help with it ill try to get the name later.

not really its not cloudy at all. I took it to the rotary performance in TX and they told me its the housing. So they recommended to replace the whole headlight. The bulb itself is not going in which cause it to be in a different position.
