dont know what to do with my 8 (won't start)

What would b a better alternativ? engine rebuilt or replace the engine. Iv been havin alot of problems with my 8.. I feel the engine is damaged due to trying to start it. It has the common symptoms not cranking over. So I replaced the starter, spark plugs and battery. And obvious diy flush flooding of fuel trying to start it. Im at the point of giving up.the last resort Im thinking of is rebuilt or engine replacement. Im out of ideas and just want to know what the next step I could take would be.Its od because I have tried every way to find the problem. Eg/. the only things that turn on and are active when I have the key in the ignition is the external lights and windsheild wipers. Radio and heater/ac doesnt turn on and mirrors do not movoe and the left window works but the drivers side doesnt. What happened at the start was it wouldnt start and I couldnt jump start it. and the only way I got my car home was roll starting it. So im so lost and confused. Any ideas pointers or help?

It sounds like you have an electrical issue, so I would not recommend assuming that your engine is damaged. Can you describe the events in detail the last time it was running, and what happened either on that shut down and/or the next start up attempt?

There are many things it could be, including many different things at the same time. For example, you mentioned spark plugs, but you didn't mention wires or coils. They usually should be replaced all at the same time. The interior issues sound like a grounding or fuse problem, which could also be preventing the engine from turning over when you try to crank.

Can you be more detailed?

Reman engines from the Mazda dealer are fairly cheap these days.

I would get your car to a mazda dealership get them to check the compression. If you fail the compression check see how much a reman engine will cost.

Doesn't sound like it will even turn over to be able to get a compression test yet.

Yeah there is definitely an electrical issue of some sort, and likely a few issues going on here.

People get cranking, turning over, starting, mixed up often, maybe I read it wrong.

I thought the engine was not starting, I guess its not cranking at all?

When my alternator was jacked my car acted possessed. It would steer on its own, flash lights, stall, not start at all, sometimes crank, sometimes act completely normal, etc. It was nuts and the jackasses at the dealers didn't know wtf the problem was. It took a trip with the alternator to an alternator shop in the hood and the guy determined in like 5 minutes the alternator was overcharging.

The original problem was that I had driven it for no longer then half an hour then probs a 4/5minute cool down andI went to start it no longer then 45 mins later and wouldnt crank over. Tryied no more then 5 times and even did the anty flooding. And even tried jumping it and would start still so my brother and I push started or roll started it. Also wires and coils wer replqced about 2 weeks before I had this problem.. and new spark plugs wer put in about 2 and a half/3 weeks after. The battery was fine aswell. But I did notoce probably a month prior to all this driving on a parkway or a straight road for about 10 mins or about 15 ks. Out of knowhere the dsc would come on and the more I tryed to accelerate the less power I got. And the only way I got it.to turn off was to turn the dsc on and sometimes do the 'hold for 10 seconds' trick.

My first guess is a battery connection failure. Disconnect the battery completely, clean posts and terminals and reconnect.

Some odd symptoms joined here, probably more than 1 problem, so start with that.

Check your room fuse in the driver kick panel and make sure you are getting a good connection on your battery posts.

had a similar issue with my car a few months back after cleaning the the engine bay, the car wouldnt crank just heard a click and that was it. had it towed to a reputable mazda shop in atlanta and they couldnt figure it out. got the car home, replaced the negative battery terminal and the car started up like nothing had happened.

It may not solve your problem but worth a check. could be a cheap fix.
