Ecu,Kam reset..HELP!!

Hi anyone know which way i should go on the KAM im a little confused as to which is correct. I dont want to do the wrong way and mess up the car and all the recent work i put into it.
1. new 2kw starter
2. NEW ESS SENSOR
3. new battery high powered
4. catch can
5.cleaned carb
6. changed oil and filter
7. NEW MAF SENSOR
8. took out whole air intake box and concetions washed them out completlley. NEW FILTER.
9, NEW COILS PLUGS AND CORDS.

I am just worried as I researched and seen Imobilizer issues, and gosh knows how many other horror stories that maybe i can avoid. below is what i will do for the NVRAM resetting. But Kam i see two and maybe 3. there is one that says disconect your negative and positive and touch them together. Also which should i do first NVRAM or KAM? If anyone has had this issue please help me. THANK YOU
2005 91k miles

NVRAM: from ESSEX ROTARY
ECU Reset Guide for RX-8 | Essex Rotary

Kam:
Mazda does not recommend attaching the positive cable to negative cable to reset the KAM (Keep Alive Memory). Apparantly there have been a few cases that vehicles were damaged by this procedure. Afterwards audio units have stopped working, immobilizers, Touch Screen (2014). To properly reset KAM you must disconnect the negative battery terminal, get in the car, press the brake pedal about 5-10 times, turn on the headlights, press the horn. After about 10 mins it should be reset. Reconnect the negative cable and everything should be fine.

well this below process seems the most logical. Im gonna go forward with this. NVRAM then KAM

NVRAM:
1. With the ignition off, press and hold the reset button on the trip meter.

2. Switch ignition key to ignition (do not start!)

3. Continue to hold the reset button until the odometer shows "TEST", then release. (Now the control lamps and the instruments are tested, etc.)

4. Press the button repeatedly until all tests have been completed.

5. Switch off ignition - done.

Reset cam & eccentric shaft sensor calibration

1. Switch ignition key to ignition (do not start!)

2. Then immediately press the brake pedal at least 20 times (at least 20 times) within a maximum of 10 seconds until the needle of the oil pressure indicator deflects up to half and returns.

3. Switch off ignition - done.

- In the case of very old software versions (before L) there is no deflection of the oil pressure display as a check for resetting the KAM.

- This procedure also calibrates the eccentric shaft sensor.

Just do the 20-time brake press (last 3 steps of your post).
What year is the car?
