Hi Boys and girls.
new to the Forum, I'm generally able to sort my issues out but this one is a bit of a mission also first time playing with a Non piston engine ,so thought id reach out to the guys who work on these daily.

I've taken a 1982 Vw caddy ute and converted it to Mid mount RWD with a concoction of parts my latest buy a 13b , I've searched the forum but don't see anyone address the how its done question.
I want to trick the ECU or bypass what i need to to get the ECU to run Fuel and Spark only ... not phased with ABS / Cruise control or anything special , I've had my head in wiring diagrams all morning and its becoming a blur of lines.

anyone done something like this before?
What wires do i cut ?
What wires do i bridge ?
What wires are + what wires are -. ?

saying that i only have the harness from PCM to the Engine, also have a DBC TB on order with TPS sensor to feed into the PCM in need be.

don't really want to pay $1400 for a aftermarket ECU.
i know it would probably be easier getting a FD front plate with a dizzy and run carbs - the good kind : )

You are missing a lot of the wiring that connects to the rest of the car.

The ECU is looking for specific CAN info from other modules that you will need to make it work.

You would likely have a lot more luck with a standalone...
