Hey guys I just bought a rx8 and love it. I've done a lot and I mean a lot of studying about this car but I need all the help I can get before I make my decisions on the vehicle.
It's an 04 AT with 130,000 miles. I bought the car for $4,000... Yeah that just screams stupid but I already bought the car and tried to get a refund but it's too late now. I still love the car but dang was I stupid.

Anyways, the engine shuts off after about 20 minutes of cruising and when it does it needs about 20-30 minutes to cool off and start up again. It also has a rough start, hard hot starts, it reeks badly of burnt gas from the exhaust, pretty rough idle and feels sluggish sometimes.

My first guess is low compression but I wanted to hear some other opinions.
