Question Engine sticks around 6k Revs

Hi,

I have the 190 model, series 1... Had it for about 2 months, but recently It seems to be struggling between 5.5k - 6k revs. Eventually moves on but can sometimes take a few seconds. Wondering if this is a common problem and what it could be.

Its only done 38k miles and is a 2005 model (55 plate)

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Reece

Maintenance history? Read the new owners thread? If not, do so.

All of it.

I have done, It's got full main dealer service history, the new owners thread has been open about 3 months before I got it and ever since haha!

Its only recently started, It sticks for a couple seconds then continues as normal... It's booked into the garage tomorrow, just didnt know if there was anything I should be getting them to check / look at.

Thanks anyway though

Could be a sticking intake valve.

Ah, If that is that, is it an easy fix or a potentiality a big problem?

If that is it (because it might not be), it isn't simple, but not expensive if you do it yourself. It gets labor intensive, so expect to pay a lot if someone else does it.

Search SSV cleaning. That is if you coils, plugs, etc. are still in proper working order.

Thanks guys, you've both been a great help! I'll have a look into SSV cleaning now.
