Hi I have just bought a 07 RX8 Auto. Just asking whether its normal to have the center console heated up during driving? Cos mine tends to heat up until we can feel the heat. And the keys i placed inside the cup holder also gets heated up.

Yes, the catalytic converter. Check inside of it to make sure it's not clogged.
I suggest you read the new and potential owners sticky found at the top of the new members forum.
You'll find that the "temp gauge" is mostly just a dummy gauge and won't tell you much. Getting actual gauges to monitor is the best way

All RX-8 center consoles will get warm.. The Cat/exhaust is running right through it! (Which is why there is no middle back seat.. In case anyone was wondering why)
As long as it's just WARM, and not HOT, then I wouldn't worry to much about it.

Welcome to the brotherhood!
Easiest is to buy a cheap OBD2 Bluetooth adapter from eBay, pair it with your android phone, install the Torque app and check the cat temps. That'll tell you for sure if it's clogged or not.
