Finnicky A/C
I generally don't use the air conditioner or heater at all since I always have the windows down in all weather conditions, but it seems to have a mind of it's own.
It'll be a hot day, or even just a warm day, and I'll turn the A/C on. Fiddle with the temperature **** and it'll spit hot air out at me. If I mess with it long enough it'll give me cold air. It isn't an issue with waiting for it, because I'll leave it on the second to last notch and it'll give me cold air, then I'll move it to the coldest setting and it'll give me flaming hot air. The air doesn't seem "ice cold" even when it'll give me mildly cool air, my friend has a 2000 Honda Civic with a better A/C than I do.
Other days it'll be cool outside and even after driving for 10 minutes it'll still only give me outside temperature air when I have the heater on. It just seems to do whatever it feels like and if I fiddle with it long enough it'll work. First it seems like a sensor issue and then like it needs a recharge. I've got no idea what's wrong with it. Ideas?
Oh and it's a 2005 if that changes anything.

There's a sticky in the series one diy section that describes your problem and how to fix it. Basically the temperature control **** comes off of it's circuit board and needs to be soldered back on. This actually happened in my '8 and took about an hour and a half to fix.
