Fuel Injectors Broken

Fuel Injectors Broken
Sadly, my car has been spitting out error codes and flashing the blinking light of death, so after much troubleshooting and replacing most of the ignition system, I gave in and took it to a local shop. They are telling me it is the fuel injectors and right now they are trying to nail down which one/s.
The issue lies in the quoted price of $450/ea to replace. Now, I know these cars aren't the cheapest to maintain, BUT does that not seem a little high to anyone? And is it possible that fuel injector cleaner might help or solve the situation if this shop is overestimating the problem?
I thank you in advance for a reply.

Those prices are nuts for injectors and I highly doubt it is a failed injector ( I have had a bunch tested with high mileage and never seen a failure). A flashing CEL is a misfire and typically related to an ignition problem or clogged cat converter. An odd and less likely misfire could be due to an internal coolant seal leak but you would have other symptoms with the car.
If you need new injectors, buy used or give these guys a call and ask for Bruce.

Got it all figured out, turns out he was trying to get parts from a dealer, diagnose which of two is causing the issue, and sell me a warranty. It is now a much more reasonable $270.
And yes, there is a leaking injector. Just not sure which of two it is.
