thanks for the replies. I'd definitely be meeting once it's purchased.

Oh and I checked out that last one. Besides some scuffs on the front bumper which I planned to replace anyway, everything checked out! the 20k Engine almost looked brand new and he has the receipt from the mazda dealer that did it. Put a downpayment on it until my car is officially "gone" but will probably be picking it up regardless if mine sells :P

I'll definitely be checking into Rotary mechanics and body shops though. As is he quoted the bodywork including paint blending and replacing the trunk cover (mazda rust inside) at $500.

*Edit*

So I talked to the owner about it, it turns out he's got a highflow cat on the BHR mid pipe which passed the E-test so no more worries on that front

Alright guys...I've got 1 more dilema. I've had a couple of sales for my car fall through now (without even seeing the car) so I'm getting a tad "impatient" with it. I've reduced the price significantly and have still received only around 4 lowball offers. Now I have my car listed at 6900. I have $5000 to pay on the 8 I have on hold. Today, the one legit sounding offer I got was for $6000...Given that the car may need some work soon, (at least maybe a timing belt and possibly a power steering pump) should I just accept and call it a day? I'm still making 1grand profit.

My car is a high KM 2008 Legacy 2.5i btw. (208k) Actually I only bought it for 7 grand at 190k. I know patience is a virtue when selling a car, but I'd really like to get the 8 as soon as possible to start winter prepping it

If it were me, selling a car for only $1000 less than I paid for it would be a no brainer. I'd do it in a heartbeat. Getting an offer for only $900 less than what you listed it for is usually a good deal(if you listed it correctly).

This is what I was thinking as well...I'd say it's listed "OKAY" only because it's not a top of mind car and thus a little harder to sell. Average asking for lower KM models is between 7-9 grand.
I may give it one more go to bring him up to 6500 or so, if not I'll probably cave...thank god he'd never read this message :I
