Greetings from Wisconsin
I bought a Porsche 986 a couple of years ago and my wife disliked it when we went to one car in the winter. She indicated I needed to get a winter car and because we have grand-kids it needed four seats and four doors. I'm done buying boring family cars so enter my new to me 2009 Mazda RX8 Sport. Just what I needed. It had 35,000 miles on it when purchased but I have no indications of issues in the 4 months I've now had it. Joined the Wisconsin RX* club but have not yet been able to fit one of their get together into my schedule.
Top speed of the Porsche and RX8 are about the same. Porsche will out accelerate the 8 but the 8 seems to be balanced better than the Porsche and despite being a couple of hundred pounds heavier feels lighter in a corner. Think I'll keep both.
