Hankook V12 thoughts?
I need to get a set of new tires due to nails, but I was wondering if anyone has had some experience with V12s. I've ran on extremecontract DW and liked them. Tire size would be 245/45/18.

I run this tire as well 245/40/18 and its been a good performer. I have no complaints. They are much more confident in the rain than the nitto's I had previously. I don't usually drive the car in the rain, but every now and then you get caught and I feel much more confident pushing these tires hard. They offer a decent ride and have a decent grip in the dry as well. Not the "best" in terms of dry performance, but if your looking for a tire that is pretty well rounded and with a decent trad life its not a bad choice.

I just bought a set at Mavis, same price as TireRack plus $100.00 mail in rebate. I hate rebates, but since I needed tires, might as well get theses, I read a lot of the TireRack reviews and it was what I was looking for.

Yes, these are great in the rain as well. Mine's my DD at the moment (DD is broken), and I have no issues with the water.
Think they've slipped once or twice on a wet road, which really was my own fault for being testy, and once or twice when it was like 20 degrees outside. Other than that, they've been amazing.

Life After 8K RPM....
Ive never tried V12's thought they were my 2nd best pick in the list.
Just couldn't afford them at the time so went with Falken Azenis fk453's they are the next best thing after the Michelin Pilot super sports the car came with :-)
I have even driven in light snow, freezing rain, and dry wet conditions with my falkens and they performed really well..

UPDATE: Bought the V12's at a local tire shop for $597 (originally $697, but Hankook offered a $100 rebate for a set). they felt a lot heavier when I left the shop, but that was because they were new. the grip is nice though. I was driving on the streets at night and went into a corner at 35 and no budging when I turned. I'll see how these work out. I do want to try PSS and RS 3's in the future.
