hard to turn over my RX8 in cold weather

Hello Guys
Just become a member but have been googling this forum for a few years.

My problem is my RX8 04 is taking ages for the Immobilizer to allow voltage down to the starter. It clicks when I turn the key. During the summer and once I have got the thing started in cold it is not a problem to start the car.
I had this issue last year but never got it sorted as I just put up with spending a bit of time putting the key in and out until it eventually fires up.

Just checked my battery now is has stood for a few hours in the cold and it is reading 12.7 volts (connected to the car). Reading the "Starting Issues" topic here it mention 14-14.3 volts. The battery is only a year old as the AA thought that this was the problem last year. When I connect the battery to my charger it reads full

I have two keys and with both I have to spend time....sometimes twenty minutes playing around with locking/unlocking, key in and out the ignition, flashing the headlights, heater on and off before it starts. And to clarify the engine does not turn over once until what I think is the immobilizer letting the voltage go down to the starter. When it does turn over it is quick so I do not think it is the battery...

Anything you can tell me to cure this problem would be greatly appreciated.

What type of battery do you have? Are all connections tight?

Hi
The Battery is a Unipart Calcium Part No: GBA3030 - 12v - 570a (en) - Ah 70. The terminals are tight.

The Voltage of 12.7 I mentioned is a standing voltage (car not started).

Are they clean (inside the terminal and the battery post)?

I will give them a good going over, this problem is getting worse. What I have found if I pull my main beam headlights on while trying to start then it somehow is making it start quicker without endless key turns.

I have it booked in for a service on Saturday at MX5 Motors in Doncaster (Steve rebuilt the engine a couple of years back) so hopefully he can find the cause.

Service Done.
ECU reset - no error codes found anyway.
Still the problem starting.
The Main beam lights thing....nothing to do with it...just have to keep locking/unlocking/turning and switching keys etc... 10-20 mins later depending on how cold it is the car starts....very frustrating...
Looks like going to a Mazda main dealer to be ripped off then LOL...
