Hello!!!

I'm a new owner of an 07 RX8, prior to purchasing, this forum was extremely informative. Needless to say the RX8 is a finnicky little vehicle that requires meticulous maintenance, this should not be too difficult as my other car is a Mazdaspeed6, not a rotary but i'm sure you've heard ZZB so hopefully it wont be hard maintaining....Enough about that...

I have a titanium gray with the appearance package fully loaded including Navigation and heated seats...first impressions: WEIRD....I say this because i knew not to expect the power of my turbo speed6, but on the test drive i was ready to turn right around and decline, but the salesman insisted i really drive it which i did, my impression immediately changed....i took my dashhawk and did a 0-60 run clocked 6.5 sec, not too bad. Handling as you all know is amazing, scary driving this in the rain vs AWD, this thing is light in the ***..Weird how you don't "feel" this car pulling but the speedometer definitely moves, also i think in 6th gear at 3k rpm this car has better initial throttle response than the 6.

Overall everything seems to be in working order no issue with hot starts, heater core was replaced prior to purchase, cooling system pressure tested ok, sun visor is fine i really cant say anything is wrong with it right now, currently 66,700 miles gonna have compression and what not done soon, was able to purchase a 36/36000 mile warranty which specifically states ROTORARY components...ok i'm saying too much...but i'm glad to be a part of the RX8 crew now..

I also have to say this forum was extremely helpful before I purchased my gorgeous 2006 Shinka. Was much better prepared to own one. I use this site lots with the tricky little problems a car has and have always found an answer.

My best advice - get snowtires!

Hello and welcome. Always good to have more rotary owners around. I'm sure you have but if you haven't you should check out the new owners threads for some good info.
