Hello everyone, just getting into Mods!

Hi,

I live in Sydney, Australia and just joined the .com.au forum as well (same username).
I decided to join this forum though for the Global crowd and the huge amount of information on here, I've been reading for about a year now.

I have a Series 1 RX8, 2004 6 Speed manual in Velocity Red.
Full leather (red/black trim), spoiler and the nice Bose 9 speaker system.
It had one previous owner who stuck to the logbook requirements and kept the car in good order, it only had 55,000KM on it when I bought it.

My first mod will be the stereo, the lack of bluetooth is killing me!
I've already read up and am in the progress of finalising quotes on the Metra kit which I will combine with a double DIN Pioneer unit.
I found the thread on here for installation, most helpful.

After that, I've spent a solid two weeks now reading all the newbie guides on here and the list of what's worth doing and what is a waste as far as performance enhancements are concerned.

New wheels/rims would be next for a quick change from stock to start making it my own! I like the Kinesis K59's, pricey but the look I'm after in that department.
The Mazda speed body kit is a thing of beauty, so I'll be working up to that.
Under the hood, new air intake and out the back a new catback exhaust is on the cards.

Once new bodykit is on, I am pretty confident to change the paint colour now to black. At the time when I bought the RX8 I was happy with stock and the colour, but now I want to start modding which as it turns out means changing colour. Hindsight eh! I would have bought a black RX8 to start with, would have probaly still needed full re-spray anyway to match new body parts.

Anyway, my post on .com.au turned into a novel so don't want to do the same here.
This is pretty much where I am going with this example here (wrong colour though!!):

Thats not a picture of his actual car. He put that there as a template for what he wants his to look like after its modded. OP post of pics of your actual car already!

Welcome and post pics of your ride. Hopefully, your ride would look like that picture you posted in the near future, good luck.

Here she is, 1 year old for me and this is ground zero with current status Factory stock.

By the way, it's a Dropbox link that won't show image even using the [img] tag. Guess it is because it's https??
Anyway, right click and open in new tab:

I have used Picasa instead of Dropbox, this worked with [img] BBCode.
