I've been on the forums for a few months now learning, getting ideas, and meeting a few nice people. I've had my rx8 since July, and pretty much a noobie. I bought the car wth 92k miles and didn't get it compression tested (Oops)
Figures 20k miles later it lost compression on me. But I've loved every bit of owning her while it lasted. Which is bringing me to my new project, swapping a street ported turbo 13b rew into the 8. My motor just blew 2 days ago, and I don't have another daily yet, so this project is going to take me a long while. I don't make much and with rent, etc I'm sure I'll still be with a rotary till this time next year. But only because I don't plan on taking the easy way out.
I'm sure I'll be needing a lot of help, etc. but I'm looking forward to this build. Thank you guys!
Well, I tried to post this the 16th, but it never posted. So o posted a new one...
Never lost compression, was a fuel pump. I still do plan on building a FD motor with a turbo, but I'm going to build it before swapping. Give or take right around 400-450. Nothing too crazy, just a strong street port.
And I'm pretty sure that's a red robins in the background, I'm from Delaware. (Anyone from that area by any chance?
