Help with Custom DRL lights
Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to stop by.
I'm working on a set of Custom LED DRL / Turn signal lights and need some assistance with wiring them up cleanly.
I've done some reading across multiple posts around the forum but I'd like to ask myself to get the most up-to-date answer and to make sure I fully understand.
These DRLs should activate when the car is on but dim when the headlights are turned on, that way I don't blind people at night.
The module I used comes with 3 wires, one for the ground, the turn signal and the running light.
Splicing into the turn signals and setting the ground is simple enough but Getting the DRLs to Function the way I want them to is what i need help with figuring out.
Thank you

Does your car already have DRL as a feature or is this all new?
Usually not blinding people has more to do with aiming the beam correctly, rather than toggling lights. Are you adding new lighting like a light bar or modifying bulbs in the existing headlight?
Napkin sketch idea : use the low beam signal wire to switch a relay that drives your DRLs, such that when relay is energized, the DRL circuit is broken.

To be honest im not comepletely sure, the manual mentions DRLs and the technical manual shows a DRL module but i haven't checked if thats in my car.
So its going to be all new.
Im adding a light bar, the headlight bulbs will remain stock.
Thats a good idea, but with a relay The DRLs will fully switch off right?
I found these DRL controllers on Amazon, I think they might be worth a try, what do you think?
