Question Help! I don't know what these are for!

Does anyone know what this is?? I bought my RX8 in July and I know thag the car is bone stock but I don't know what this is. At firsg I thought it was someghing for the speakers but I don't think thats the case as the speakers do not have a good quality. The cable goes through the fuse box and underneath the driver side doors and all the way back.

Also need help for this **** that's underneath my steering wheel, I don't even know anything about this one.

I am fairly new to this thread so I am posting here in hopes of having someone to help me find out what these are doing in my car.

It's an aftermarket fuse holder minus the fuse. Likely for an amp that uses to be in the trunk or something

Thanks, do you know about the other one? It looks like a ****, my brother was telling me that it could be for the alarm but I don't know.

Likely manually modified the gain on the amp that dannobre mentioned.

Also, your car is definitely not stock. I'm not sure what kind of intake that is, looks like some custom typhoon'ish job to me. I'd be surprised if that was the only thing you found. If the person claimed that the entire car was stock, then I would probably bring it somewhere reputable and have it checked out. You definitely didn't go into this purchase fully informed.

Also what the hell is that power cable going under the floor mat? Where does that lead?

Yeah the intake is a K&N. The cable goes through the fuse box, then underneath the doors sills of the driver side and heads to the back.

Okay, so I found the cable that it led to but it is cut. So it's something that is obviously not working right now. I can't search it up on the internet cause I have no idead what I'm looking at.

This supposedly shows some modifications that needed approval, I can barely read it myself. If anyone could give me some pointers on what I'm looking at.

An then I have about two of these stickers, does anyone else have them or did the previous owner add something to it?

I want to be able to find out as much as I can for my 8, so I resorted to asking other people.

The first sticker, MSP16 is a mazda service bulletin for addressing engine issues in 2006?ish? This is good

The other one I have no idea. But search for that campaign number.

That **** is gain control for an amp, 99% sure. Just remove it if it's already cut.

That's an amp control and the stickers are just there to show some dealer TSB's that have been done.

Do you have an idea of where the cable might connect? I would like to see if I can reconnect it. Maybe they took off the amp but I'd still like to try.

Look in the truck to see if they had an amp mounted back there. Will likely be holes in the sheet metal or the plastic on the back of the rear seat panel in the trunk.

Basically.you.might as well just remove it...looks like they cut it off and it likely isn't long enough to connect to anything that could go there
