Help! Idiot lights are on and don’t know where to start...
Okay so I bought my rx8 with a rebuilt title (yes I regret that now but was pressed for time to buy a car anyway..) 76k miles on it. However lately it has been throwing a power steering malfunction light (note: there is no power steering loss what so ever) and a traction control malfunction light as well, and when all both are on the tach starts jumping back and forth and the speed is resetting and going back on. Most of the time when the car is shut off for awhile it stops and won’t happen again for awhile. I’m not sure where to begin. Is the ecu shot? Or the control module for those sensors shot? Not sure where to start. I’m gonna attach a video as to what’s happening. Any advice would be helpful!

you should start by reading the new owners thread about 12 times. No really read this!
first check the batter terminals for good and tight connections you can use terminal grease to help
second make sure that the coolant overflow line isnt spitting coolant onto the PS connection directly under it
third did you read the newbie thread?
check those and report back

Yeah this sounds like a loose electrical connection. Battery terminals a good place to start, then ground points and connections to the ECU and to the gauge cluster. Is it rebuilt due to a collision in the front? Perhaps the rebuild work left a pinched wire.
