Check with mazday, its possible year wise you fall under warranty. What are the cels that you are getting? any other symptoms?

Do you have water in your Gas?
You can disconnect the battery for ten minutes to reset the Cels but you should get a code reader first.

What type of knock?

Re-check your install. Plug may be loose.

Update your profile for where you live. Then a local club member can help you.

MazdaUSA > MyMazda > Warranty
RX-8 Rotary Engine Core Limited Warranty Extension
Mazda Motor Corporation is extending the warranty coverage on Rotary Engine Core Components on all RX-8 vehicles produced after the 2004 model year. The warranty coverage for the Rotary Engine Core Components is extended to 8 years (96 months) from the original warranty start date, with a 100,000 mileage limitation. The following is a list of components covered by this warranty:
Rotary Engine Core
Rotary Housing and Internal Parts
Internal Seals and Gaskets
So basically if your car's date of first sale (or in-service) is August 4th 2006 or later AND your mileage is under 100,000, then you can take your car to a dealer for a compression test and to see if they will authorize a warranty replacement. Expect to get challenged for maintenance records, and expect a hassle if you have any aftermarket modifications installed when you bring it there. Your out of pocket cost will be somewhere between $0 and $500, depending on the specific dealer and what all work you opt-in for.

Works just like all other car warranties.
