So one day i tried to start my rx8 and drive it but once i turned it on it was bogging down once i put it in gear and tried to move at first it was the cat turning orange from the heat so we changed it and got another and i still had the same problem but now when i let it warm up and then floor it the rpms don’t want to go up but when i press it constantly it’ll eventually start going up and it’ll bog out in gear i don’t know what the problem is if anyone could help please let me know

Could it be misfiring? When was the last time you changed the spark plugs and ignition coils/wires?

yeah i changed the spark plugs too that’s not the problem either i’d have to check the ignition coils and the wires i’ll let you know

If you have no way to scan the OBD system, take it to an auto parts store like AutoZone and get it scanned for free.

Everything I’ve read says to do all 3, unless you have some BHR coils. My guess is that’s a good place to start anyways
