Hi
Hi guys. Long time reader, first post.
After searching for a number of years, I fianally found the right RX8 for me. A 2004 six speed in titanium grey with under 70k.
The car was involved in some sort of light collision and suffered damage to the driver rear quarter, door and bumper cover.
I purchased the car from the daughter of the original elderly owner whom had passed away. The rx8 came with a new taillight. I figured the old guy felt bad about hitting something and at least wanted to have a new taillight around or was planning the repair, but ran out of time.
The one part I needed to buy was the plastic bumper cover mounting bracket. I have gotten quite good at automotive repair over the years. (15+ years experience and 3rd generation body man She looks great now. The bumper repair area, quarter and door are in Sikkins primer awaiting wetsanding and paint.
I just wanted to say hello, and thank you guys for all of the awesome information that's available here.

Nice to see another 8 getting some love. How is it mechanically?
And what's that other car beside the 8? I don't know classics...

Mechanically the car is great. No engine light and all maintenance is up to date. I also made sure all recall work was done. I started using idmitsu pre mix. The other vehicle is a 1956 ****** jeep wagon. I just finished restoring it.

Awesome 8 and even more of an awesome ****** man. Good color on the 8, I just picked mine up as well. It just had the fuel pump problem addressed, but I’m not sure about the airbags..
Anywho, welcome.
