NZ Hi all, new to the forum

**wouldn't let me post in the NZ/AUS section, unsure why**

But not new to owning an RX8 ,

I have just acquired my 2nd RX8 which "arrives in the mail" on Thursday (Today NZ time) or Friday.

I have spent a lot of time browsing the forums and reading up on hundreds of threads that have answered 99% of my questions that have popped into my head since owning a Renesis which saved my from starting many multiple new threads, huge thanks from me to all those who wrote guides on pretty much everything!! (pretty made the account to say this to many people to thank to put you all here by name )

Here is the situation with my '03 AT RX8:

Currently my '03 AT is suffering from severe low compression and i am looking at rebuilding her (starting to dismantle her now as seen in pic), using her as a parts car for any potential parts my new RX8 may need (they are both series 1) undecided on this though or the big debate of a conversion....

I have a full nose cut from a '05 6sp MT which i was thinking about sinking some $$$ into & getting my local rotor expert to do a conversion on the '03 (i have read multiple threads on this, i'm just throwing the idea around in my head as it all comes down to the $$$ & since i have all the parts already it is kinda viable)

Any thoughts on what anyone else might do in my situation?

Key points again:
1. Keep the '03 for spare parts.
2. Rebuild & sell.
3. Selling it as a rolling body.
4. Doing the conversion (since i have the parts as above)

Last thing before i go to sleep, my newest RX8 is an '05 model yet the VIN throws up "2001" year of manufacture when i try decode it if anyone has experience decoding NZ VIN#'s please let me know as this has stumped me either that or i'm just being a noob, not sure what i'm missing here, i think it got fitted with a "NZTA" VIN (NZ Transport agency) rather than it's original, pic below. I'm not worried about this as i have the full service history for the car just a little unsure on NZ VIN #'s now.

Thanks again to all those who have unknowingly helped me over the last couple of years!

Peace.

In my opinion I would keep your 03. You never know when you might need something off it for your new 8.
