Hi All! RX-8 Won't Start Sometimes

Hi, I've been lurking these forms since I bought a RX-8 back in July. Shortly realized it needed a motor after I checked the compression. So I bought a engine from Rotary_Resurrection got that in, and broke it in for 1000 miles. I stuck all new plugs, coils, and wires on after the break in point. Every once in a while it will have difficulties cold starting, and occasionally misfire. Most of the time though it will start fine and will even start warm, it's just when I leave it sit. Once it's running it has no issues though. I'm wondering if it's possible if I have leaky fuel injectors, or if I got a bad coil when I replaced them. Oh every time I start it I get white smoke from the exhaust but that goes away within 5 minutes, so I think that's just condensation hopefully, and not the engine since it's a rebuilt motor.

Edit: Forgot to mention it's a 2004 4 port automatic. I know...

Cold start issues and white smoke indicates a failed coolant seal. I'm assuming the engine is under warranty from RR, take it back to them.

I remember him saying he did a coolant pressure check before sending it, but I shot an email just now
Also the coolant level hasn't gone down at all, wouldn't that be dropping?

It does sound like a blown coolant seal. Are you loosing coolant?

I'm pretty sure the coolants been at the same level, and it doesn't smell like burning antifreeze because I have a cadillac with a Northstar engine that is leaking antifreeze into the engine, and they don't smell alike at all at the exhaust.
It only idles rough maybe once a week when it misses, I was speaking to Kevin at RR and he was telling me it's probably old gas/fuel mixture still in the exhaust. Is it possible one my oil injectors are leaking causing it to not start? It smells like burning oil to me. Also I did install a sohn adapter.

Tried to start my 2010 RX-8 today and it would turn over but would not start. In a normal engine it sounds like the timing belt/chain is broke and the engine just keeps turning over and over. What could be causing this? And what should I do?

You might want to start your own thread man. It's hard to give an answer. The battery could be slightly weak. The engine could be flooded. Engine might not be getting fuel. Lots of reasons. Check the symptoms and causes thread in the new member section.

Could be flooded.
You need to troubleshoot it methodically.
If it sounds like it's spinning fast enough to start, it's likely fuel or spark related.
Or no compression.

So I couldn't get the car to start at all for about 20 minutes till it cranked over and started missing really badly. I did a cooling system pressure check and it held at 15 psi for 10 minutes l, so I assume it's not the coolant seals. I'm leaning towards oil injectors being stuck open and dripping oil in while car is off. I'll be tearing into those this weekend hopefully
