Hi, proud new owner here :)

So I purchased a 2007 pearl white RX8 at a dealer yesterday. It is 6-Speed manual transmission, cloth interior, aftermarket rims (tastefully done I might add). I gave 2k down, and have to pay $450 a month for 3 years.

Overall I am super happy with my car. IT has 60 thousand miles on the read.

Nothing major wrong with it, just the passenger side window button doesn't work (works on the driver side) and one of the small little headlight bulbs isn't working.

Other than that, here is the ad. Not sure if it'll work or not since its been sold but here it is.

Aria Cars | 4001 S. Firestone Blvd South Gate CA 90280 Not trying to advertise their website, sorry if that's what its coming out like, but that already has pictures of the car.

My brother used to own a 91 RX7 so he's familiar with the rotary engine, and this is my first dealership car, imma make sure to read up as much as I can on these forums.

Just a quick question, anyone know exactly the part number to that small light bulb? I believe its the right side (if inside the car) that doesn't work.

That's the light bulb i need to replace. It's the smaller one inside the circle dome housing

Thanks guys, I'm thinking of keeping the car relatively stock. Maybe just a CF hood, and bright white HID lights.

I' on my phone so imma have to reply later from my computer with pics.

Not sure why it won't upload the car pics but at least the bulb pic works.

Thanks for the help everyone. Already, this forum has saved me a ton of headache twice. One when I came to swapping out the map lights, and two, during the rear brake pads. My dad was gonna call it quit trying to the get the caliper cross to match up with the nipple on the brake pad.

Also, I bought super bright white cree, 5watt led with projector lens for the parking light. I was wondering, even though my lights are halogen, they come with the projector lens. Would installing HID be simple or should I retrofit them so they don't blind incoming cars?

So it's been almost a month since I got the car, and I must say, it is amazing!!! I cannot believe Mazda stopped producing an amazing car. The only two things I wish it had, was the Bose Audio System, and the Navigation. Other than that, my car is completely flawless and see myself owning it for a very long time!!!

Btw, I have uploaded pictures of the car via imageshack links.

Hello, in case you were wondering, from what I read the reason Mazda quit production was 8s were banned in Europe due to their poor emissions.
They didn't think it made financial sense to continúe with such a large market unavailable.
Also sales were dropping cause of their rep for engine failure.
That's my understanding anyway.
I have O4 LY GT. Never use nav, Bose is nice, but I have no Aux. for I-pod.
Yes, car is awesome!

It's probably why they quit exporting the RX7. I know ODB II standards were required and the RX7 was no longer sold beyond that point.

I use my phone gps app to get me to the 7-11 behind my house lol, I use it for everything. Especially since I am a pizza delivery driver for dominos. Which, I use my 87 MR2 almost exclusively for, but on the off chance that I need the 8, every single customer including pedestrians compliment my car.

So I'm still in the process of converting everything to LED, and HID headlights, plus adding a sound system. Already have some expensive rear Rockford Fosgate speakers for the back. I need an amp, and the front speakers.

Question about the HID, I have the halogen bulbs, because my car is the stock base model 07. Do I need to do anything special for the HID since they're projector lenses?

Nope, you do not need anything special.

I would not recommend anything more than a 35W ballast as there are cases of lenses and plastics melting with them.
