Hi world

Hi world, it's your neighbourhood friendly "franco italian right hand british kuro mazda driver" boy Vixel / Leonardo
Had my Kuro 2007 RX8 for about half a year now (somewhere around december, got it in outstanding condition except for AC gas leakage which cost me the entire compressor installation replacement, probably could have done better but why not, gotta be introduced to this beauty's attraction to my wallet one day or another, not that the AC issue is common from what I know)
Been taking it around in pretty hot condition as I spend my summer "vacation" working in Sardegna (autonomous italian isle beneath corsica that -is- bigger than corsica, take that corsicans!) and so far it's doing me wonders.

Other than that I am a relatively young, got my licence at 17 in the UK and my mazda at 18 (my current age) while knowing full well about everything good and "bad" (I don't really know if I can call it that, I consider this car to be the car to be the woman who will give you what you want if you give her what she wants and respect how she wants it) about it and being myself interested not in how fast and how uncomfortable you can get on a highway while being completely unable to drive your car properly, but rather in a car that allows me to make mistakes as a new driver and as a car/driving enthusiast and more importantly allows me to perfect my technique as it remains a relatively peaky car (stuff like handling slow speed situations in windy roads, forces me to manage gears well and avoid being wastefull while being 100% safe for anyone else who might pop out of nowhere)

The only thing that is not a fundamental improvement of quality of life I considered adding to this car eventually was a small supercharger for the low end torque but I might very well just be able to circle around its low end torque "issue" (I still got surprised at the torque it produces considering everyone tells me it's so bad, it only requires some proper clutch and gear control which just teaches me how to do it in the first place).

As far as I'm concerned now considering I'm a student and nowhere near mastering this car (which means adding anything to it is meaningless in the end from a driver's point of view), I'm a lot more interested in keeping a solid record of its maintenance progress over the km (screw miles) and over time while slowly DYI-ing my way into improving bits of things here and there to make it more pleasant and maybe give it more quality of life and a bigger lifespan, which makes RX8 Club pretty much my god savior here.

I don't have much to add, except that I am really a numbers guy, I put my head into data and need to know everything about the car (and about most things in general) down to the specific details (maybe also because I study physics, mechanics and electro-technics amongst other things as a merchant navy officer) which does bring me to a little question, does anyone know of a way to efficiently track data off of your car?

Example, oil pump pressure, would it be realistic to have something tracking the evolution (like a graph) over a given period of time of the oil pressure? I would then overlap say an RPM curve over time and understand how the pressure is evolving (which would also let me know if anything out of the ordinary is happening)
If anyone got any ideas I'm damn interested, or if I need to make this into a proper topic somewhere else please let me know!

I think that's about it,
Thanks for having me and I look forward to hanging around this place.

Sincerely,
Leonardo
