Today I installed my HKS Hi Power exhaust and ran into a major issue. I have a 2011 R3 and have seen numerous S2s with the Hi Power single exit, many of them said that fitment isnt always exact and that you might need to grind some of the black trim that surrounds the tip to keep it from interfering. However, when I installed mine today the fitment was so off that the end of the muffler (tip not attached) will not fit through unless I were to grind through the whole trim piece and the reflector above it. I spent about an hour playing with the hangers and midpipe trying to get it to come down even a little with no luck. Has anyone experienced this issue with the HKS Hi Power and if so how did you go about fixing it? Im considering just using a tube/pipe bender and bending the piping between the muffler and tip just a few degrees so that it clears the reflector and I'll just have to grind some of the black trim out of way. If anyone has any different ideas or solutions it would be appreciated as I'm not to keen on affecting the integrity of the exhaust by bending it. Thanks! (photos attached)
