How do you bleed the master brake cylinder on a 2007?

I was reading about spongy brake feel after bleeding the lines.

I bled the lines with a friend's help. I don't know if he sucks *** at pushing the brake pedal or I just don't know how to bleed lines on a newer car.

I use the same method I use for my old 1988 Mazda truck and motorcycle. Pump pedal, open screw, close screw, repeat.

I saw a way to bleed master cylinder but the lines that come out of mine are hard.

I think I read that only the 04 to late 05 or 06 had the valve on the master cylinder. I posted a picture of mine for reference.

I have a 04, and am currently working on bleeding mine. My bleed valve is on the Slave Cylinder ( tucked right behind your Oil Filter. I removed the plastic Throttle body part AND drained the Oil and removed Oil Filter ). I can get to it easy that way, just a PAIN to bleed! I had to buy a Speed Bleeding kit to do it ( basically a clear hose that fits on your bleeder and goes to a bottle, so any bubbles keep going up the hose and if it sucks anything back in, it is brake fluid not air :P )

This MAY not be the correct way! I still only have half a clutch pedal even from all my bleeding!

I hooked up the speed bleeder, filled the clear hose with fluid, opened the bleeder and had a friend pump the pedal down and up several times with the bleeder open. After that I closed the bleeder valve, had friend push clutch to the floor and then lift back up, THEN i opened bleeder and closed it. Did that second part a couple times, and each time I got a ' little more clutch pedal ' each time ( meaning the clutch didnt wanna stay down all the way, and i could see it 'engaging' more and more. )

I still havent got my clutch to what it was but the bleeding was going ok. still not 100% and I hear some strange noises from my clutch now, so I might have more problems than my slave and master cylinder. :P but I hope that helps your bleeding question.

Though i am worried, my clutch sounds like... i dont know.. stepped on a cat? the pedal goes down halway before I feel any resistance. Perhaps I am not done bleeding entirely? I am trying to search more on my problem before I do anything else.

lol oops! Brake huh? sorry

That valve behind the oil filter is for the clutch. I had to bleed my clutch too because of air in the MC got into the clutch system.

I bled all the brakes on my car again. This time I had the car on for each brake and made a one man bleeder with a water bottle and some tube. Brakes are just a firm as originally now.

I bled my clutch afterwards using a few different ways from that valve behind the oil filter. It has some pressure now but I feel it's lacking a bit. I think I need to borrow a vacuum pump to finish it. I think there may be a bit of air in the smaller cylinder near the master brake cylinder near the firewall.
