Unhappy IDK what to do?

I recently bought a rx8 and done my best to make it operable, so far, I changed the stater, the sparkplug, the coils, ignition wires, and battery. The car starts to shut off when reaching operating temp. I rested the ecu but still no luck. also, when driving it doesn't reach past 5-6 rpms. i got a check and it's giving me a cylinder 2 misfire. should I get the engine rebuilt or is there an easy fix for these problems?

Is your MAF clean and do you have an aftermarket intake?
Any other data besides the misfire code? What are the fuel trims when idling fully warmed up?

What intake is it? Some of them can cause this type of problem.

Yeah OK, I'd suggest finding a stock, AEM or Racing Beat intake. What is probably happening is the Injen is not properly smoothing the airflow for the MAF and around 6000rpm the MAF signal is so far out of reality that you start to see misfires.

This car doesn't need a cold air intake, the stock one is already as cold as it gets.

Idk where else to post this site won’t let me start my own thread cause I’m new

Hi all, hope your doing better than me…
recently got and 04 gt manual, going to unoh for mechanics so planning on doing a bunch to it, it has a misfire at high rpm around 5500, I’ve read all the thread for this prob trust me, replaced the entire ignition system, ess (crank position sensor) whatever you wanna call it, and still getting misfire at 5500 in higher gears and if it’s above 30-40 Fahrenheit outside it will push past 5500 rpm in lower gears, if cold out it will do it in lower gears until the cars been up to temp for abt 45min or more then lower gears will bite, can’t be clogged cats… it has none, I don’t think it’s injectors cause it’s dumping fuel out the exhaust, which has brought me to timing because of the ess code that still won’t go away with a brand new sensor, I’ve seen many people say timing cannot be adjusted on rx8 and some say it can, I’m lost and want to get it running prime, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

What codes poping up? Follow the workshop manual depending on what code is the issue.

the code was po335 crankshaft position circuit failure, replaced the sensor and code still reads, also have O2 code but that’s because the rear O2 was taken out for exhaust, still has front O2 and is reading properly.

and before y’all ask me yes I’ve done the 20 step reset and cleared all codes before firing back up, it’s a reoccurring code so idk why that would still be coming on unless timing is off…
