Issues after seafoam

Hello my car is an 05 auto with 59k miles, never premixed gasonline and use 89+ octane. But i'm having issues after what i did and i'm wondering what I should do.

-I dumped a whole (16oz) can of seafoam into my gas tank AFTER I filled it up, it ran fine until the next day when i started having these issues. (I KNOW DUMB)

-Now whenever i'm at a stop sign/red light and i want to go it feels like it has no power until i get into the 3.5k+ rpm range even with my foot on the floor.

what should i do get the fuel pump changed or what? I hope I havent damaged anything internally the vehicle still starts & everything i've reset the ECU seemed like it helped a little but still having issues.

Thaanks!!

Either:
A) The problem is unrelated (after all seafoam was originally designed for use in the gas tank, there is no problem with using it that way)
or
B) You had a dying engine anyway from carbon buildup, to the point that the seals were beginning to depend on the carbon caking to make a seal. Removing some carbon thus caused sealing problems, ie: compression loss.

is it a steady or blinking? also get a OBD2 reader and check the codes. Like RIWWP said it could be you have a dying engine.

Just my opinion here, but in my rotary experience, if you ran it for 59k miles on regular gas, below 91 octane, you probably have a very sub par engine by now. Not recommended for engine internals' health and longevity. Hopefully we can all help you find a solution to keep you running.

I was gonna say the same thing, rule #1 is premium gas, 91 octane and up. (I use 93.) If you can somehow swing it, try and get the engine replaced from the recall they did back in the day. If you can, spend the extra dosh and run it with premium so it doesnt happen again.

Just because you are just now starting to use 93 Octane and running it hard wont make the current problems go away. Have you taken it to autozone and used their OBD2 reader for free? also i would HIGHLY suggest you get a compression test and check coils.....

There was never an engine recall. It was a factory warranty extension. It would be a rare 2005 that hasn't passed the 8yr limit on it (mine was one such, first sold Sept 2006, it would have been up next month if I hadn't gone over the mileage first)

Have your fuel pressure tested with the car hot. Fuel pump failure is possible, and would be unrelated to the seafoam.
