Just keep her tuned up. Check her oil every other fuel up. Get a compression check once a year and clean the ESS, Maf and air filter once a month. Oil change is up to you I change mine about every 2500 miles or 3 months.. other than that take advantage of the 8 for what its meant for. Nice long strolls around a twisty mountain makes her happy

Welcome, 04 LY GT,
Be sure to redline it frequently, keeps carbon from building up, oil change at no more than 3000 miles, and ALWAYS use premium fuel.
Have fun!

I can tell that you haven't read the new owner's thread yet. Please read through it, as these questions are specifically answered there and we don't enjoy repeating ourselves. Post #10 specifically answers your primary question. Many other answers in there to questions you are going to ask but don't know that you will. We know you will though.

Welcome,

All good data above. I would also suggest the $100 thread in my signature with and 04...

And, welcome again.

Welcome

Don't ask questions like that if you don't want to be flamed to death.
Premix and oil types are holy wars around here.
You'll need to decide for yourself.

Cheers

See the newbie's modding thread for a list of the premix types and their benefit. I don't believe any of the 2-stroke oils at autoparts stores are really viable, but I may be mistaken and/or you may have regional supply differences.
