Just bought RX8 need oil advice

I just bought this car oil is ok but I cannot stand the thought of driving my new car with old oil so need to get some info please. I do my mom was tune ups... oil changes... brakes etc... this car is my finstincts rotary. I am seeing many different thoughts on oil weights and synthetic vs Non.
I am a huge fan of AMSOIL signature series full synthetic. I still have some quarts from the truck I just sold that are 5-20 and 5-30 and I read mazda recommended 5-20 for US cars...and 5-30 for everywhere else? Well I'm in Canada was wondering if I can use these AMSOIL quarts I already have.

Yes.
Frequent changes more important than type.

Just buy 5W30 (SAE SN grade) and change it often using a Mazda oil filter. I change mine every 1000 miles others do it every 3000-6000 miles. Send your oil in after 6000 miles to a reputable oil testing lab to confirm if 6000 miles is fine. I use WalMart oil (Super Tech 5W20 or 5W30; SAE tested ti SN grade).

When you own an RX-8, you have to be an oil changing nut, lol.

Literally whatever I have on hands that's 5w-30. Right now it's Kendal GT1, and I'm running that in my roo.
