locked my keys in the car.

Yup. Anyone have any success with the ol coat hanger through the window? I don't really have the$50 for pop a lock.

If it's only $50, I would jump all over that if I could not jimmy it open. This is where the spare would be helpful.

Do not try to jimmy it. There is a plastic clip that holds the linkage in place and if you try to open it like that, the clip pops off and you're fucked. You then have to take the whole door apart to snap the clip back in place so the door handles work again.

Call a towing company, they have to insert a little airbag type thing in the door frame and bend the door open far enough to get a hook inside and unlock it, it's the only way to do it.

Figured it out, posted how, then realized it was a terrible idea telling all of the potential sh***y people out there how to break into our cars. In fact, can a mod delete this thread? Sorry for the paranoia, both my roommate and my wallets were stolen last week. Better safe than sorry.

It wouldn't have really mattered. The ability to open a door is common knowledge. It's all about if your car is worth breaking into or not and what did you leave in visible sight.

Just don't lock the keys in then you got problems because they can brake in and drive off.
