WA Looking for help on jet air hose

Hey there! I drive a 2007 rx8 and recently installed the Greddy Turbo kit on it. I'm confused where I have the jet air line routed though. Haven't been able to find a clear picture of how others have it routed on their boosted 8s. Is it supposed to be routed to the intake piping just before the throttle body? I know this is a total newb question but I'd greatly appreciate some help. Just want to make sure my hosing is correct.

I've been trying to figure this out for months.. looking at forums and diagrams. Guess I'm just not understanding what I'm reading. I have the jet air with an rx8performance check valve connected to the nipple after intake filter and before turbo. I have the middle hose which looks like it's coming from behind the alternator also connected to a nipple after intake filter and before turbo. I have the oil filler neck nipple with a hose connected to a catch can and the other end of catch can vented to atmosphere. Finally, I have the other emissions looking hose that is on the driver side which looks like it's coming from behind the upper intake manifold going to a nipple in the piping right before the throttle body, after turbo. Problem I'm having is tons of smoke at idle and off throttle. When throttle there's little to none. I've tried a couple different combinations but just can't seem to get it right. Please, if someone is willing to help, I really want to enjoy this rx8 and not blow it up.

If you have an 06 or later , I believe the hose you are talking about goes to the sump . Effectively you are boosting into the sump !
This was explained in the thread I linked you to , maybe it isn't clear enough .......

You can fix this easily by switching that line over to where the jet air is currently and fitting jet air to just before throttle.

This is my Greddy compressor inlet pipe. Don't mind the -AN fittings. You also need a check valve on the jet Air line. And of course which nipple on the intake tube doesn't matter unless you have a fitment issue.

I really appreciate the feedback guys. Love this car just havent been driving it since i couldn't get the hoses properly setup and didnt want to hurt it. I'll arrange them around how you said when I get home from work. I'll take pictures too.

So I redid the hoses. Put the jet air with check valve right before throttle body now and ran that sump hose after air filter where I had the jet air hose. Basically swapped places. I used a T for the catch can exit with the sump hose right after the air filter since I only have 2 nipples. Will that be okay? Or do they need to be on separate nipples or should I just vent catch can to atmosphere

? The smoke has reduced dramatically and power seems better from doing your guys recommended changes. It still does smoke a little at idle though making me think the turbo is on its way out. But driving overall has improved and I'm no longer leaving rooster tails on every road I'm on.

Is this okay to T-off catch can here? Or just vent to atmosphere?

You have it correct now ................ Although if you had read the instructions properly you would have noticed that you don't need the check valve on the jet air line when you have it in that location . It will still work fine with or without it .

BTW : if you are getting lots of backfires and lurching ...... it's because your BOV isn't recirculated.

Had to rebuild my turbo so I've been MIA until I could gain access to a car lift. Had a question about the setup. I'm trying to clean up the hoses since it was a mess in the previous pictures. The sump hose near the dipstick that is going to the intake piping before the turbo, can that hose be blocked off? Then I can run the catch can hose to that spot in the intake pipe rather than vent to atmosphere? So the setup would be..oil filler neck to catch can to intake pipe. OMP line from right behind the alternator on the other nipple of intake pipe before turbo. Then Jet Air line to charge pipe before throttle body with check valve removed as stated previously it's safe to remove check valve on jet air hose if connected to charge pipe. Then finally, the sump hose near the dipstick would just be blocked off. Since it's an 07 that hose was additional compared to the first couple years of the rx8 correct? So it can just be blocked off? One more question which I can't seem to find a clear answer to, does the OMP hose need a check valve on it? I'll try to get a new picture up as soon as I'm off work to show. I'm probably just overthinking all of this but I want it to be perfect. Thanks again I really appreciate the help guys.

Top right you can see the sump hose near dip stick is capped off. Then you can see my catch setup from dipstick to intake pipe. Then omp line from behind alternator is going to intake pipe as well. Removed the check valve from the jet air line which is going right into the charge pipe. I put the check valve on the omp line. You dont want boost going into that right? That small, shiny black hose also going into the charge pipe under the jet air line is from the wastegate just so you not confused.
