Looking at a Rx8
Hello everyone, I've been considering buying another Rx8 as of late and I have stumbled across one I was hoping everyone could take a quick look at. It looks like a good deal but for the life of me something looks off and i just can't put my finger on it.

For a bit of history I owned a 08 grand touring 4 or 5 years ago now and loved the car, financially however my timing sucked, so I had to get rid of it.
Back to the one I'm looking at, i did a bit of sleuthing and found out it has been in a rear end collision and per Carfax had structural damage. There is no record of a salvage title so my first assumption was that it wasn't totaled but i could very easily be wrong.
So what do y'all think?

Not enough info to make the call. I would go over it with a paint meter and check the compression like any other 8. Condition of the seats for an r3 also gives you an idea of how well it was cared for.
Get it on a lift and have someone go over it. I usually like to have a body guy with me that can help me figure out what happened. The paint meter should point you in the right direction.
also see if you can get the original wheels.

"drift works"
Danger Will Robinson, Danger!
wonder if the rear end damage was due to a 'drifting' incident
I'd look around for signs of racing; check the wheel wells for excess rubber, look at the suspension for signs of major alterations.
