what country is the RX8 from, JDM models will throw a code.

or where did you buy the coils/what brand? There are people selling coils from overseas that are made with cheap junk internals, some are not even LS2 type internals; it has to be cut open to find out.

did you reset the “ESS profile”? This always has to be done after and ignition work or main pulley removal from the e-shaft. Search the forum if you don’t know what it is. Do this first, if so.

Driven By Madness is uh.. don't do what he does. Never heard of Dragon Fire, but based on their price being 1/3rd of what a good coil conversion kit costs, I'd not assume they're infallible. Is misfire the only code? Does the car have a cat? What other symptoms are present? What country is the car from? Why was the ECU replaced?

car is a US I had a code for bad ecm I do have any symptoms of a misfire the car has a high flow cat no symptoms at all the ecu has been throw code since I put in and even after I changed all the components I checked the spark plugs and they show none of the usual signs of a misfire

What is the ECU code? There's not really a single code for that..

What is the make of cat? Do the misfires happen at high rpm?

the new ecu since I put in even with old coil which were new stock coils threw a misfire code and still throw it after I replaced everything no symptoms of a misfire even no signs of one after checking the spark plugs idles at 1k and no lag in high rpms

typically for the misfire code the CEL will flash while it’s occurring.

you could just ignore it
