Lucas Oil 10110 Semi-Synthetic 2-Cycle Oil - 1 Quart Bottle as Premix oil
So I've been trying to find the Idemitsu Rotary Premix, but since I live in Canada, it's very difficult to come across one unless you pay around $50 for shipping which is just absurd. So I was browsing through and found out that Lucas Oil 10110 Semi-Synthetic 2-Cycle Oil - 1 Quart Bottle which is relatively cheap compared to insane shipping rate of Idemitsu And was wondering if this works as the premix for my 2009 Mazda RX8 R3:
Synthetic works just fine. The main thing is the oil must be FD rated.
Noticed this comment. I recently purchased Idemitsu Racing Rotary Premix. I noticed it is JASO FC. The above comment says it should be FD. Did I buy the wrong product?
It all looks the same once it has burned Well, some produces more ash than other, but that's not related to viscosity.
Viscosity plays into quickly/easily the oil spreads on a surface and the quality of the film it creates. Also keep in mind that oil that's thin at room temp might be too thin at engine temp. The rating systems exist do you don't have to learn oil chemistry from scratch. Trust the ratings.

FC should work just fine as well. The Idemitsu is top tier premix made specifically for rotary engines so it should do the job. Only real difference is FD has higher amounts of detergent in it. This is the only reason I prefer FD rated 2 stroke.
JASO FA – This is the lowest 2 stroke oil spec that tests lubricating capability, detergents, initial torque and exhaust smoke.
JASO FB – This spec tests the same things as JASO FA but is a slightly higher standard.
JASO FC – This spec has the same level of tests as JASO-FB for lubricating capability and initial torque. But it has much higher standards for detergents and exhaust smoke.
JASO FD – This spec is almost the same as the JASO-FC spec but with much higher detergent capabilities.
