Hey guys this is my first posting on this forum. i used to frequent mazdas247 but then sold my previous car ( mazda Protege) and lost interest. its depressing selling a car you loved LOL
So I purchased my rx8 about two years ago and left it stock because my brother and i were focused on building our own business ( Ace Aesthetics - specializing in vinyl wraps and signage). We have now become established and i finally got to get my hands a bit dirty with this thing.
All i have modified so far is the suspension (Stance Coilovers) and wheels (varrstoen Es6). im looking into the BHR coil relocation and a full wrap but as of now this is where she sits.
Fix that horrible lowered suspension. I don't understand why people do that. Is it to call attention to themselves? The tires have to wear uneven, and I assume with less rubber contacting the road, handling is negatively impacted. A neighbor of mine has a 2005 Infiniti G35 coupe. It's lowered to the point that the rear wheels bump the wheel arch and have damaged the metal leading to rust.

meh, ive seen much much worse. im not a fan of messing with camber but this doesn't look bad imo and if that's how he wants his car to look, its his problem

ill tell you why I do it, because i like the way it looks. Its really just my commuter. I know my limits as well, so i hope to never make contact with the body lol
sounds like your lookin out for me though, so thank you.
Don't be this guy. He drives super slow (probably because it bottoms out when it runs over a leaf) The rear wheel arches are shot since the tires scrap it. Wheel arch is rusted out (spash some more paint on it. ) I do like the matte paint job and the rims. I just wouldn't have screwed with the suspension.

mmmmm Not my cup of tea, bad paint, horribly chrome WHEELS, and he parked into the curb... I will never be this guy.
op you fuked your suspension. one of the best parts of an rx8 is the way it handles and you destroyed that. i hate the color red so to me the purple looks better but it needs tint and to be unstanced
Recently i updated her color, this is the first of many changes!
what do you guys think!?
What's the specifications of that setup? Offset, rim width, size, weight, and tire width? I Like the stance a lot! Just not a fan of the negative camber. Are you having to do that to not rub?

wheels are 18x10.5, +15, tire size is 225/40.
and yea with the aggressive offset i have to run the -5 degrees in order to stay clear.
I like the color, not sure about the rim color with it though.
One thing I would do with it is get your hands on the Greddy SP2 exhaust if you can, they are a little larger in diameter and nice and shiny. It's discontinued now, the newer exhaust from Greddy doesn't have the curled lip on the tip which is one of the things I enjoy.
