Me being stupid

Hi everyone, Yesterday i did a really stupid thing and it’s driving while drunk.....the thing is I stalled the car (while hot) a few times....and did a really aggressive driving....hitting 9k rpm before changing gears..... today the car took a bit to start cold, 4 seconds almost...and in hot it took 2/3 sec. ..... i just recently changed coils and it would turn on in 1,5 sec. cold or hot. (The car has 110.000 km, de-cat, changed only coils....oil filter....air filter.... (compression is ok)) took the car to the guy who changed all of those and who knows about rotaries (more than me) and he said that it’s ok, he checked coils, plugs and battery....but I’m not so sure....it made a big difference in just a day.....also it feels like the clutch is teraing off....because when I change gear and accelerate my rpm jumps a bit and then goes back down and starts accelerating normally. I wanna know what could be the problem of those hard starts.

here you will find out the acceleration video and later i’ll upload the starting

SMH, "compression is okay" sounds like BS, did he do a compression test or is he psychic? If he did, what were the numbers?

Artur, where do you live?
becuase you could have ******* killed someone while driving drunk! What the hell is wrong with you.

as for your car, who cares.
throw it in the trash for all we care, you don't deserve the input from any of the members here after your drunk driving. Have fun with your guy 'who knows rotaries'

Calm down Jedi, don't be so harsh to the poor 8...

But yeah, DUI isn't a joke and you should never do it, and depending on how much you have drunk, you may have done more than revving it to redline. Might have held the clutch halfway in while you were at it.

Sorry but Im with Jedi on this one. I get wanting or needing help, but you wont get an "its okay" pat on your back here, not from me. We have all made our mistakes, but you couldve easily killed people.

Search the forum for your answer and make a better decision next time.

I know that I did a stupid thing......if I wanted I could have said nothing about me being drunk but I wanted to be sincere.....anyway I looked at the dash-cam and I didn't drive recklessly, just hard. Anyway I won't do it again so you can chill.......

update.....i left the car for two days to chill and it started again fast.....1,6 sec in cold and 1,8 in hot.....

Don't drink and drive, you are lucky that nothing so bad happened besides you being stupid and the car is acting a bit weird. You won't be so lucky the next time, you might get pulled over, going to jail, have a DUI on your record , crashed the car, crashed into something or even someone, just don't do this again, what's the hurry, you don't have to drive if you don't want to, take the responsibility please, be an ADULT. Parking the car at the restaurant and call a uber+ violate the parking rule get a 50$ ticket and a tow won't cost you that much compare to the potential damage of DUI can cost you and others, even that's one drop of beer, this is the bondary you should NOT cross.

That said, do you have a burn smell after driving, does the RPM goes up a lot while the speed rarely change when you floor it at high gear (5-6)? If so, your clutch may be going out.
As for the motor, if hot start time is within 2/3 second, there's really not a big deal. Keep driving it to see if it goes away. If you have a cat, constantly holding rev limiter isn't good for it, take it out and inspect it.

Don't drink and drive please!
