Hey guys! So I have a 04 rx8 and I am looking into upgrading my radio. I have decided to go the Metra Dash Kit route so I can eventually install a double DIN/ISO radio. Does anyone know if an 09 kit would be compatible with my 04 Mazda? Because the 09 kit is about $120 cheaper than the 04-08 kit and I'm all about savin serious cash.

My assumption is going to be "No." The interiors of the 09+ cars are different, and they use different hardware.

They probably wouldn't have created a completely separate product if they were compatible.

Also, you bought the wrong car for savin serious cash.

Well I only had 4 grand to spend on a car and it's what I got so I'm gonna make the best of what I have. Someday perhaps I'll get a better one when I can afford it. Besides I find the Rx8s pretty enjoyable despite their gas guzzling qualities. Anyways. Thanks
