Moderate blue smoke, when warm.

04 rx8 6 speed, car starts great and idles high (maf most likely, previous owner installed a k&n air filter with no screens in front of the sensor) once it reaches about 150 f itll start to smoke blue pretty moderately, ive tried revving it up to possibly clear some excess oil in the housing, but afterwards it idles pretty horribly, dropping to 500 then back up to 8/900. Again I think that may be the maf but I'm not sure. I also notice that the engine bay had a decent amount of smoke coming from itas well.

The car sat for over a year, a car lot i work for had someone do work on the car and after that they couldn't start it (they were flooding it every time they tried to start it).

l I've searched the forms for hours and cant find an issue like mine, ive also looked on google to no avail.

I was afraid that might be the response I got. Do y'all think it's time to rebuild the engine?

What if a car puts out blue smoke instead of white only when cold?
